Ludington Area Weather
West Michigan weather - they say if you don't like Michigan weather, wait a few minutes and it will change. Sort of true. Sometimes.
Along the Lake Michigan shoreline our weather patterns can hardly be called "patterns". The Great Lakes have a tendancy to create their own weather in their own way. That keeps the local forecasters on their toes. What's forecasted isn't what always happens. Weather that happens in Wisconsin doesn't always make it across Lake Michigan, fronts in Canada that should miss us sometimes come barrelling down, and sometimes "squalls" develop over the lakes from clear blue skies.
So it's important to keep informed on the local weather here to get the most out of your days. On this page we've provided direct links to the most critical weather information for the area. The links go directly to sources at NOAA, The NWS, Intellicast, Weather4U, Weather.com and more.
Click here for the direct link to the UGLOS station (Upper Great Lakes Observing System) for the Ludington area. This is a great resource to check before going out on the lake.
